Yucatán Honeymoon

A romantic private journey through boutique cities, historic haciendas, cenotes and the coast, designed as an alternative to spending the entire honeymoon at one resort.

Mérida to hacienda to Valladolid to Riviera Maya
Curated from
$6,500 per couple
A Yucatán honeymoon moves from intimacy to expansiveness: a Mérida townhouse, a hacienda in the forest, Valladolid at dusk and a coastal finale where nothing further is required. The luxury is in the sequencing rather than a schedule crowded with decoration.

  • Anniversaries

Along the way

Warm city light gives way to cool water, convent stone and a final Caribbean horizon. Each move opens the frame a little further.

Suggested itinerary

A full route with room left in the day.

This is the starting sequence. Choices are settled around the season, hotel locations and your appetite for guided time.

  1. Day01

    Private arrival

    Sleep: Mérida

Airport meet-and-greet, private transfer and an in-room welcome. Keep the first dinner informal after the flight.

  2. Day02

    Mérida for two

    Sleep: Mérida

A late-start private city walk with an architecture and design emphasis, followed by spa or pool time and a reserved dinner.

  3. Day03

    Culinary Mérida

    Sleep: Mérida

Choose a market and chef-led tasting, a private cooking session or a leisurely progressive lunch. Portrait photography can be added near golden hour.

  4. Day04

    Into the hacienda landscape

    Sleep: Luxury hacienda

Transfer into the hacienda landscape with an artisan or village lunch en route. Check in privately and leave the evening free.

  5. Day05

    Private hacienda day

    Sleep: Luxury hacienda

No compulsory touring. Choose a cenote, couples' treatment, garden picnic, tasting, cooking experience or private dinner.

  6. Day06

    Hacienda to Valladolid

    Sleep: Valladolid

Leave the hacienda slowly, stopping at one selected cenote before checking in to Valladolid and walking the Calzada de los Frailes near sunset.

  7. Day07

Ek Balam, cenote or free day

    Sleep: Valladolid

Choose early Ek Balam and a cenote, a regional food experience or a completely free day. Declining another archaeological visit is a valid luxury.

  8. Day08

    Chichén Itzá to the Caribbean

    Sleep: Coast or Riviera Maya

Visit Chichén Itzá at opening with a private guide, then continue directly to the Caribbean in time for a late lunch and sunset.

  9. Day09

    Coastal decompression

    Sleep: Coast or Riviera Maya

No touring: reserve the day for the beach, spa or private-pool time.

  10. Day10

    Optional additional resort day

    Sleep: Coast or Riviera Maya

For the ten-night version, keep a second full resort day. A private boat or reef experience remains optional and weather-dependent.

    10-night journey

  11. Day11

    Departure

Private transfer to Cancún airport, with VIP airport assistance available as an upgrade.
